Emulsion recently released his new CD 'Blue Sky Objective' and you can expect a set full of pretty, emotive melodies and 8-bit beats.

Originally from Tehran, Ben Cirrus, AKA VJ Spiderback, has been performing around Chicago in various forms for well over ten years. As a musician, he has led local bands the Gravetones, Black and Blue Inc., Silencer, Colordots and Replikator, and recently as a visual artist he has been keeping the display screens alive at select venues around Chicago under the monikers .Me, Screen Savior and VJ Spiderback.

John Sacelli, a graduate of Yale University with B.Arts in philosophy, has spent 35 years exploring alternative therapies, spiritual paths, body work, and shamanism. Utilizing his angeLynx tarot deck created from visions and a unique Angelish dictionary, John's offerings are caring and seem to have a profound impact. Every Angelish concept is based on a contradiction which, followed deeply enough, will lead you to the place ‘before words began, before spells were cast’.

In his life as a traveler, Derby came upon the sounds of psychedelica in Europe. Settling soon thereafter in Chicago, he became a resource that pulled those with similar musical tastes together. Derby has since proven to positively affect the Midwest Psy/Goa music scene by being a driving force behind Touch Samadhi, a founding member of The Chilluminati and an essential programmer within the Psymbolic--sounds label. You can expect to hear a skillful set of funky melodic soundscaping electronica.

Jeffrey Acciaioli, known as The Great Mundane, was exposed and later influenced by genres such as classical, jazz, bossa nova, hip-hop, and electronica. The Great Mundane is shaped by a DIY culture and creates twisting textures, uses catchy drum whips, and creates diverse soundscapes through his melodic compositions. The Great Mundane has worked with Belladonna Records to release two limited time EP's and has released his debut album "When Falls Arrive" with Psymbolic--sounds.

Gaian Mind Summer Festival ~ June 18th - 22nd

Now in its seventh year, the Gaian Mind Summer Festival has hosted
world-class international talent along with some of the finest regional
artists in the USA. The gathering includes a full weekend of spiritual
dancing, tribal drumming, lectures and workshops, yoga, sweat lodge,
swimming, relaxation, and much more in a sacred, sylvan sanctuary at
Four Quarters in Central Pennsylvania.

During this years festival, microtakeover will be featured in an
immersive auditory and visual environment that encourages attendees
to open themselves to a virtual experience and allow the psy-cinema
to take them seamlessly anywhere and nowhere.

Looptopia turns the City of Chicago on its head Friday, May 2nd as
the Loop is transformed into a sensory playground celebrating
arts, culture, architecture and insomniacs alike. This all night

After five successful years in Chicago, mgFest expands to a second
US city by premiering eight diverse motion graphic creations on
Lumen Eclipse's video art kiosk in Harvard Square.

The opening reception for this month-long exhibit will be held at
Middlesex Lounge in Central Square, Cambridge. The reception
will feature the ( Design | Sound | Code ) screening and will
transition into an interactive audio/visual showcase.

Bob Trahpek from Boston's own Sonic Beating and Zia-Trance
will sonically navigate thru choice downtempo grooves
while VJ Mason Dixon mixes video segments from
the premier to the mood of the live music.

The Motion Graphics Festival is the premier industry event dedicated to
showcasing creative motion-picture design. The festival features a full
week of events including: world-premier theater screenings, audio-visual
